Dr. Gary S. Aumiller is a very unique individual. He is the author of three popular self help books called Keeping It Simple, Red Flags: How to Know You're Dating a Loser and Walk Like a Chameleon which are printed in 12 countries in seven languages. He has appeared on over 135 TV and radio shows as an author and psychologist.
Dr. Aumiller is a forensic and police psychologist with an international reputation. Dr. Aumiller has worked for organizations like the FBI, DEA, NYPD, and the Italian State Police, and has given the keynote address at over 400 police conferences. With his partner Dr. Dan Goldfarb they have run full service mental health center for the families of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, Detectives Association, Corrections Officers Association and Deputy Investigators Association for the past 22 years. Dr. Aumiller is the Executive Director of the Society of Police and Criminal Psychology. He has begun the work of starting the first college-based graduate education programs in Police Psychology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Aumiller has worked in the courts of Long Island performing evaluations for divorce and criminal cases. He has always found that couples are better off if they can work out an arrangement without the involvement of the court and the very expensive lawyers and court process. He has been appalled as he watched people spend every penny of their saved money and sink themselves deep into debt to simply settle a divorce. He has equally been surprised that regardless of outcome, most people don't feel satisfied when the court makes decisions for them. He has always felt there was a better way and he began divorce and business mediations to help people avoid the court process. He has trained attorneys multiple times in the process of forensic evaluation and dispute resolution.
Dr. Aumiller is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Hofstra University.
